Mesotherapy is a simple and effective treatment for rejuvenating the skin and bringing out the natural glow, helping you to look your radiant best.

A special cocktail of naturally-occurring nutrients, including hyaluronic acid, vitamins, minerals and amino acids, are injected superficially into the skin. As well as rehydrating, it improves sagging by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, two of the skin’s building blocks which deplete as part of the ageing process. As a result your face will regain its natural elasticity, shape and healthy, youthful texture.

We offer two different cocktail protocols: the MesoLift for general skin hydration and tightening and MesoGlow, aimed at younger patients wanting a glowing skin.

At SkinMedico we administer the treatment using an automated mesogun. This ensures that each injection perforates the skin at the same depth (1mm) and with the same amount of product. It performs at a rate of 300 injections a minute, making it much less painless than hundreds of manual injections.

Treatment normally takes between 30-45 minutes and we usually recommend four sessions, weekly or fortnightly. Depending on the condition of the skin, repeat treatments are recommended every two to three months.

Mesotherapy is the ideal option for women and men of all ages wanting to restore the health of their face and neck. It is not suitable for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or for those with skin infections.

The treatment can also be used to rejuvenate the skin on the hands and décolletage and also for a variety of conditions, including hair loss, cellulite and acne.

F.A.Q.

It takes approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on the area being treated.

You will feel a mild pricking sensation but, in our experience, patients experience much less discomfort with the mesogun, compared to manual injections. Where there is discomfort, we can apply a topical anaesthetic.

Some bruising may occur after the treatment but this is completely normal and should disappear after a few days.

Yes, you should not expose your skin to the sun for 24 hours after the treatment and then use a good sunscreen (Factor 50). It’s also advisable to drink plenty of water and follow a healthy diet.

You can normally expect to see an improvement 1-2 days after the first treatment.
